I have package says its in kelso wa the town i live in but I went to post office they said its not there tracking number. Is this a scam

Thank you for your reply. Would you please tell me how I can find the USPS tracking number for my package AM734023526CN once it was handed off to USPS. The package was reported to have been delivered a week ago but it was not. With no USPS tracking number I cannot investigate further. This appears to be a blind spot in your use of USPS for last mile delivery.
