I sent the package back to China and it’s stuck at the customs. What should I do?

 

1.If it’s tax-exempt items, it could be released directly within 7 days. In some situations, it may be delayed.  You may wait for a longer time. 

 

2.If it needs to declare or levy taxes, the customs will notify the recipient in China to go through customs procedures. Generally, they will send a message to the recipient’s mobile phone or call the receiver. The recipient usually needs to fill the forms required to the customs. After the customs checked and they will release the package. Later, China Post will deliver it to the receiver. 

 

What should I do if I want it back from the customs? 
 

If you want the customs to return your goods, the recipient needs to fill in the personal goods return approval form. After customs inspection, it will be released. 

 

What should I do if the recipient does not receive the customs notice?
 

1. The authorized tax collection system (http://int.ems.com.cn/mailtax) provides online inquiry, declaration, return shipping, tax payment and other services. It supports Alipay, WeChat QR code and other payment methods.

2. You can also use WeChat to check, declare, or pay the tax to the customs. Just search 'ems 邮件代理报关' from WeChat Mini Program（微信小程序). Then, click   '缴纳税款' if you are the receiver. If no, you can also help the receiver to pay taxes by clicking '帮他人缴税' to check how much you need to pay the finish payment. They support payment through Alipay, WeChat and bank card.
