I am the sender of parcel EW164423384FR.
There is a mistake on the declared value: it was printed as 912 EUR, but the real value is only 12 USD.
This is a commercial sample.
Could the declared value be corrected to 12 USD please?
Thank you for your help,
Angel Okungbowa

Hi Angel Okungbowa,
To contact China Customs regarding a correction of the declared value for your parcel (EW164423384FR), follow these steps:
1. Contact the Shipping Carrier First
Before reaching out to China Customs directly, contact the courier or postal service handling your shipment (e.g., La Poste for French shipments or China Post/EMS if it’s already in China). They may be able to assist with corrections before customs processing.
For La Poste (if still in France):
Email: [email protected]
Phone: +33 3631 (from France)
Online Form: La Poste Contact
For China Post/EMS (if in China):
Email: [email protected]
Phone: +86 11183 (from China)
Website: China Post EMS
2. Contacting China Customs Directly
If the parcel is already in China and the carrier cannot amend the declaration, you may need to reach out to China Customs. Here’s how:
Option A: Email China Customs
General Customs Inquiry: [email protected]
For specific ports: Check the local customs office where your parcel is being processed (e.g., Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou).
Option B: Call China Customs Hotline
China Customs Hotline: +86 12360 (from abroad) or 12360 (within China).
Available in English (press for language options).
Explain the error in declared value and request guidance.
Option C: Submit a Written Request
If required, you may need to submit:
A correction request letter (see template below).
Proof of value (e.g., commercial invoice showing the correct $12 USD value).
