I paid for the return of the shipment of low-quality goods due to the fault of the seller. Does the merchant compensate me for my expenses? What's with the package now? Will the package reach the seller? Or is there something else I have to do?

Hello, I ordered some items off of DHGate and with a destination of the United States. My tracking code is UG888880710YP and I received a few odd delivery updates. On 2-02-23, I received an update of "Return Package dispatched". Then on the 6th, I got an update of "Package Return, Pickup by Shipper". Then on the 10th, I got my most recent update of "Package return, Delivered". I did not receive my package, nor did anyone in my house find a package, and I was thrown off by the part of the update that said "package return/ return package". Is this normal? Should I have expected my package? Thanks!
