I checked the tracking status and the date has gone back to July 20th,2019. The status for today was removed. Why is that?

It's delivered to airline transport again today. Wait and see if it will be returned again. If it couldn't be exported, better contact the seller to give you a solution as soon as possible.
It may be returned back to be checked with other packages together. You'd better keep on tracking it and see if it could leave China successfully.
