Hi:
I am ending my stay here and wish to send some personal effects to the United States sinces I'll have only one suitcase. (These things indclude my winter clothing and personal papers. There will be nothing of commercial value.
SO, where are the forms I must fill out? I can't find them online. I would like to fill them out before going to Post Office because I will be in a rush to catch my flight. Thank you.

Hi Hu He,
When sending personal items to the United States via China Post, you usually need to fill out the following forms and documents. It is recommended to prepare them in advance to save time:
1. CN22 Customs Declaration Form (small green label)
Purpose: Applicable to non-commercial packages with a value of ≤ US$400 (applicable to your situation).
Fill in:
Sender/recipient information (in Chinese and English).
Item description (such as "Used Winter Clothes, Personal Documents").
Quantity, weight, value (marked with "No Commercial Value").
Check "Gift" or "Personal Effects".
How to obtain: Provided on-site at the post office, or download the template from the China Post official website in advance for practice (but the formal filling requires the paper version provided by the post office).
2. Package Details Sheet (Domestic Mailing Label)
Purpose: For internal delivery by China Post, it must be filled in Chinese.
Fill in: Delivery address, contact information, package weight, etc.
3. Documents that may be required by the U.S. Customs (if the package is of high value or large volume)
PS Form 1583 (U.S. Postal Import Declaration Form): China Post generally does not require it, but the U.S. Customs may spot check high-value packages. It is recommended to keep a list of items for reference.
Notes
Simplified declaration: clearly mark "Used Personal Belongings, No Commercial Value" to avoid tariffs.
Prohibited items: Make sure there are no sensitive items such as liquids, powders, medicines, batteries, etc.
Timeliness and tracking: It is recommended to use EMS (trackable), and ordinary packages may not have detailed logistics information.
Advance consultation: Call China Post Customer Service 11183 to confirm the requirements of the local post office, or check the latest regulations on the official website.
Pre-trip advice
Go to the post office 1 hour in advance to avoid flight delays.
Classify and pack the items and weigh them. The post office needs to inspect the contents.
Keep the delivery certificate and tracking number.
