Lost package

Hello, I sent a package from the U.S. to Australia at the start of the month. It was going in route but after it landed in Sydney, it diverted to China where its been for half the month. Which confuses me because it never was intended for China or another country. Just from the US to Australia. I was lucky to find the package here with China post. The system says its been sitting in Shanghai for a while now.
Can anyone help? thank you. The tracking number is LH257004583US

It should be in transit to Australia now. You'd better contact USPS to check if it's normal.
