Package stuck at ‘air departure’ for a week

Hello, my package was supposed to be shipped from Fuzhou, Fujian China (thats the last update i got) to Canada but it has been stuck in ‘air departure’ for more than one week now with out any updates on the status of my package. I just wanted to ask why it has been delayed for so long and the possible time frame in which it will arrive. Thank you
