Please help me track if the number is valid,if the parcel is shipped & location

I was sent a tracking number from china but when i decided to check for my parcl,this is what i got *CP310084944CN is invalid Number! China Post has not received this parcel.
Make sure you get correct tracking number and your shipper has really shipped the parcel, then track again!* Please help me i dont knpw if truly the number is invalid or my parcel hasn't been shipped. Thanks

Hi, our system also says you enter an invalid number. I think you should ask for the sender to check if there is any problem with the tracking number.
