Unsolicited package received, with possible fraudulent activity.

|

I have received a package that I did not order. In it was a cheap gold ring, priced at $128, in a purple velvet box. It was sent from:
su qing
00
warehouse No. 8, No. 240
Huqingping Road
Minhang District
Shanghai 200041
Having read some of the comments about packages being sent from this address, I am very worried that my paypal account or debit card account has been broken into, and that I will be charged for something I did not order. Please advise as to who I can contact to make sure this does not happen. I intend to contact the Fraud Squad in the UK, so any information you can give me on this company will be gratefully received.

I also received cheap gold ring and the tracking number was the same as the item that should have arrived "Patio furniture". I am in dispute via paypal as company said I received the goods I ordered but luckily I kept the packaging which shows the tracking number and the size of the package. They have at the moment offered me 50% refund via paypal, obviously refused. This is obviously a scam and I advise everyone who is expecting delivery and not received it, to check the paperwork as they are using these cheap rings as a method of showing they have fulfilled their order with the tracking number. Keep the packing and report them.

Ordered a garden umbrella through facebook advertisement. Paid via Paypal. I have received a cheap gold ring same postal reference as per paypal account for the so called garden umbrella. I suspect this organization is taking the money for garden umbrella sending out cheap ring with postal reference. When no delivery for the garden umbrella is queried they are using the postal reference relating to the cheap ring. I will no longer be ordering anything via facebook or from China, a bunch of con artists.
I have now received 3 x $128 gold rings in velvet boxes from Warehouse No 8, No 240 Hygingping Rd, Minhang District, Shanghai, China, 200041. I am very concerned and don't know what to do.

I ordered a Basketball Game and was sent some stupid ring with a tag 128$, I am furious as this was supposed to be my sons Birthday Present. I suggest anyone who has been scammed by these week pricks to report it to the Cyber Security as that is what I will do. I was scammed in the past and Cyber Security managed to get my money back. I have decided do not buy anything from China as they just want to steal from you
Did anyone get their money back from PayPal?
Hi lynch564
i did not get refund from Paypal , as i put in item not received after 2 months and the company emailed me with a tracking number and they emailed me again asking to cancel refund from Paypal and guess what i got the same cheap gold plated ring , this is a very intelligent company as they know the loopholes in Paypal company , once you close the case with PayPal they will not help you anymore , mind you they only give you a few weeks to decide keep open or close case and the post from china can take 2 months

Also received a ring I didn't order. I had previously disputed a charge for some shoes that I was never sent and then 2-3 weeks later receive this? I just don't want to be charged for the ring I did not order.

I also received yesterday a purported Cartier ring, rose gold with diamonds, from Yanbing. I did not order the ring. The waybill said that the value of the ring was $25.00, but a charge has not shown up on either my credit card accounts, my PayPal account, or my bank account, so I have nothing to dispute as of now. I suspect that Yanbing got my address from a third-party "global retail" site I previously used to order a pair of shoes. The charge for the shoes, which showed up on my Mastercard account, came from another Shanghai entity with a different name. I did not get the shoes, but I did get a refund as soon as Mastercard opened an investigation.
Just like all of the notes on your website, I received a Cartier Ring that I did not order. The address it came from is the same as all of the others;

What should I do? Do you want me to go to UPS and ship it back - return to sender?
Is this a scam of some sort?

Tom - If they charged you, I would dispute the charge. I don't see a reason to send the ring back unless they ask you to, and if they ask you to, I would ask them to pay the postage!
I've received a counterfeit Cartier ring with three stones that came in a red box. The details of the label reads as follows:

Under the customs information it was listed as an ornament for the purchase amount of $25 USD. I don't know where my information was stolen from, but I did not buy this item. I have checked my credit cards and Paypal, yet there seems to be no transaction for this item. However, I will dispute the charge if any.
I'm afraid I am another victim of that fraudulent activity. I ordered two puppet dolls for my
daughter but received the same cheap shoddy ring instead. They used the same technique as in your case, suggesting that I would keep the ring and promissing to get me a 20%, then 40% refund, etc. When I flatly said I did not need it and want to ship it back, they claimed that I should pay the cost of the back shipment, streesing that the item might be lost or damed in transit. Simply discouraging me to do so. Let me just add that the website I orderd the puppets on looked OK, the descriptions were in German and prices in Euros.
Has anybody of you tried to report the scam to any law enforcement bodies? If so, with what results. Do you believe it is a good idea to report it to any Chinese authorities, the Interpol, etc. I would appriaciate your comments/advice. Thanks. Krzysztof

They responded to my request in less than 24 hours. I now have the right information to forward to my bank. I suggest that everyone else do the same.
