I returned an item to China for technical inspection. It seems it is stuck in Shanghai for more than two weeks. What is wrong and how can we fix this?

I asked over 2 weeks ago as to where my package was. The last update was that the plane landed and to wait another 2 weeks for an update. As of now there is no update and was just wondering which country it is in or if it is possibly lost in transit? It has been in transit for 50 days now.
