Parcel held at Customs(Beijing)-I think..

Hi,
Tracking no: CP709708263GB
I hope you can help. I sent a parcel from UK containing some gifts for my friend who lives in Kunming. I believe it is being held at Customs in Beijing. I'm not sure if I or anyone can do anything to find out why and if anything can be done to release it from Customs.

Did you friend receive any text messages from the customs? they will instruct what to do next, usually pay a fee to clear the custom. Mine too stuck at the customs, no text messages received yet!

Thank you for advising parcel referenced RN014958579GB is currently held by customs. As suggested, I contacted the seller but they refuse to acknowledge or assist. They simply state that they are not responsible if the parcel is lost or held by Customs and I will only be offered a refund if they receive it. Please advise what I can do to resolve this.
