Package deemed lost: UK to Kunshan, Suzhou

Hi,
I sent a package at the end of February to Kunshan, Suzhou. As of 11 March the last tracking information states Regional Sorting Centre Suzhou and shows on the map as Nanjing Youqu Center Ju. The receiver has called China Post who has said it is missing. I am struggling to understand this as the package was sent tracked & signed.

Thank you for your response and reassurance that is not normal.
The recipient has spoken to China Post who have advised that the package is lost.
Do you know how I can confirm this? Is there documentation China Post can send to the recipient to confirm?
I just do not understand how the package can be tracked to the mail centre in Suzhou but not found.

Hi rosehdy,
If China Post has confirmed it's lost, it should couldn't be found any more.You need to contact Royal Mail to ask for compensation.

It's not normal that it has arrived in China on March 8 and still hasn't sent. You'd better let the recipient in China contact China Post directly by calling 11183 to check it.
