Parcel held at Beijing customs since 16/12

My tracking shows that the parcel is held at customs and being assessed for import duties and I will be contacted. I need to update the mobile number on the original parcel as it is incorrect - can I add a new number so that I can be contacted?

Thank you for advising parcel referenced RN014958579GB is currently held by customs. As suggested, I contacted the seller but they refuse to acknowledge or assist. They simply state that they are not responsible if the parcel is lost or held by Customs and I will only be offered a refund if they receive it. Please advise what I can do to resolve this.
