Request for Update on Parcel Status – Held in Import Customs

Hello,
I am contacting you to request an update regarding the status of my parcel.
According to the tracking information, it arrived in your country on April 9th, but it currently appears to be held in import customs clearance. I would like to know how long this process usually takes and when the parcel is expected to be delivered to my collaborator.
Thank you in advance for your response. Please let me know if you need any additional information.
Kind regards,

Hi Canicio,
If your package sent back to China is stuck at customs — this is a common situation and usually not difficult to resolve. The core steps are clear: find out the reason, provide the required documents or pay the duties, and follow up on the release. You can check the logistics status on your courier's official website or app, request a "Customs Detention Notice", or ask the recipient to call the 12360 customs hotline to verify the reason. The most common issue is "customs duties required", which can be paid online. For other problems such as incorrect declaration information or missing documents, simply provide the requested proof like invoices or a copy of the recipient's ID card. If it's a routine inspection, just be patient — the package will usually be released automatically within 1–3 days. In short, contacting your courier's customer service first is the most efficient step. After processing, remember to confirm that the tracking shows "Customs Released" and check that the goods are intact.
