The information for my package is: "you need to submit customs declaration materials or go through the return procedures". How can I submit the papers to finish the customs declaration?

Thank you for your reply. It is a return shipment. I contacted the seller (recipient) and they said they will do nothing - we just have to wait. Is there a possibility I can upload the documents? I am afraid the shipment gets lost or will be destroyed because there are no actions from the recipient. I will only get my money back if the parcel arrives at the recipient ...

Hi Mim,

You need to require the receiver in China to do that.

Online declaration (recommended)

Log in to the declaration system

Postal parcels: through the EMS international mail agent declaration system (http://int.ems.com.cn → enter the email number + recipient's mobile phone number).

Express parcels (such as DHL, FedEx): follow the SMS link of the express company.

Upload documents

Identity proof: front and back photos of the recipient's ID card.

Shopping receipts: order screenshots, payment records, product details (must include amount, product name, quantity).

Supplementary notes: If the items in the package are for personal use, you can attach a statement (the template can be downloaded online).

Fill in the customs declaration form

Fill in the name, quantity, and value of the items truthfully (consistent with the voucher).

Note:

Personal items worth more than ¥1000 (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) or ¥5000 (overseas) may be subject to tax.

Avoid false declarations! Customs may open the box for inspection, and return/fine if it does not meet the requirements.

Submit and pay

After the review is passed, the system will prompt the tax (WeChat/Alipay payment).

Release 1-3 working days after payment.

Offline declaration (if necessary)

Bring your ID card, package number, and shopping receipt to the local customs postal supervision department for on-site processing.

Return processing (if you do not want to declare customs)

Contact the carrier

Postal: Call 11183 or go to the post office to fill out the "Return Application Form".

Express company: Contact customer service to apply for return (may need to bear the shipping cost).

Waiting for return: The process takes about 2-4 weeks. You need to contact the merchant for a refund by the original route.
