In the international express query results, "Overseas import canceled" (or similar expressions, such as "Import Cancelled" and "Customs Clearance Cancelled") usually means that the package encountered problems in the customs clearance process in the destination country, resulting in the inability to complete the import procedures. The following are possible reasons and corresponding handling suggestions:
Common reasons
The recipient may actively cancel the import due to reasons such as excessive tariffs or goods not meeting expectations.
Incomplete or invalid customs clearance documents
Missing invoices, waybills, licenses and other documents, or the filled-in information (such as product name, value) does not match the actual product.
Prohibited or restricted entry items
The goods are prohibited from import in the destination country (such as sensitive electronic products, counterfeit brands, liquids, etc.).
Unpaid tariffs/disputes
The recipient did not pay the tariffs in time, or there was a dispute over the taxes and fees determined by the customs.
Determined unqualified after customs inspection
The goods do not meet safety standards, the labels are not standardized (such as no local language labels), etc.
Operational issues of logistics companies
The agent made a mistake in customs clearance or failed to submit the information in time, resulting in the process timeout and automatic cancellation by the system.
How to deal with it?
Check with the sender and ask the sender to contact the courier company to confirm that additional documents or re-declaration may be required.
