"Remarks: Returned" for >4 months, parcel stuck in China for >8 months

Does anybody understand what could be the reason why my defective product return parcel is stuck in China for >8 months?

As I interpret the tracking records (see below):
China Customs has released my parcel and handed it to the carrier
The parcel has been returned twice - By whom? And to Where? Back to my country? After >4 months I still haven't received it.
Could it be that Banggood is providing wrong address/phone/ignoring/sabotaging any attempts by China Post to deliver the parcel and that's why the parcel gets returned?
And what should I do now?

I returned a waterdamaged "waterproof" smartphone back to the Banggood (in China) after their Contact/Ticket service agreed that I should return the defective product and they will issue a full refund afterwards.

Banggood provided me with this address and phone number:

I filled and attached the customs declaration myself:
Detailed description of contents: Water damaged smartphone Ulefone Power Armor 13 with shockproof case. Water damaged "waterproof" smartphone. Paid 302.86 USD = 287.88 EUR. Current value 0.00 USD (non-functional).

Country of origin: China
P.S. I didn't pay any customs duty because according to my information - I didn't have to. The Latvia Post office (in my home country) looked at the declaration and confirmed that it looks fine.

After the last tracking record ("Returned, Remarks: Returned") I contacted both Banggood and Latvia Post but unsuccessfully:
Banggood Contact/Ticket service replied that they haven't received the package (but it's seems more like an AI chatbot): "LA901188868LV, we are sorry for the inconvenience of logistics showing that your package has been returned. We recommend that you first contact the carrier to confirm the status of your package."
I asked the Latvia Post but they didn't even try to explain other than "it's not our responsibility anymore".

Strangely before sending the faulty product back for refund - Banggood asked "Please do not use the Expedited Shipping service (including EMS, DHL, TNT, UPS)." - apparently because these services do all the customs clearing independently from the recipient and deliver the parcel directly without giving the recipient any opportunity to pretend that they haven't received any information. Tracking records show that the Banggood's indicated recipient (EWORLDHOME LIMITED) ignored China Customs requests for information for 3 months and continued ignoring even after I reminded them on 2023-01-05 - thus avoiding their earlier promise to refund me the full price.

Now the parcel is stuck in China Customs for almost 10 months and hasn't moved for 6 months. Is there any service whom I can pay to rescue my package from China Post and at least return back to me (the sender)?

Despite issuing EDI, my parcel bearing tracking # RV216270187CN has been thrice returned with remarks 'Beijing Jiao Huan Zhan Returned'. As per latest tracking information updated on 05-11-2019, the parcel is in transit with remarks 'Airline in Transit to Next Facility'. Is it hopped that this time my parcel has cleared security checks? because the concerned seller whenever is contacted keeps saying that parcel is en-route to my country.
