Hello, my package EV070437946CN is held by Customs/Security for more than 6 days and there are no updates, is it comes to me or is it returns to the sender. The sender doesn't received some requests from the customs during this time, so we don't know what's happening.
Thank you

Hi Rotciv,
Based on the logistics tracking you provided, the package status changed from "Exit Customs/Released" to "Security Check Returned," which usually means the package was intercepted during the final loading stage due to non-compliance with aviation security requirements.
Combining the logistics details and industry processing practices, your package will most likely be returned to the sender instead of being delivered to you. Here is a detailed analysis and suggestions:
1. Core Conclusion: The package return process has been initiated.
Key Milestone: The "Returned, Note: Security Check Returned" message at 22:06 on March 20th is a crucial step. This indicates that the package failed airport security and has been removed from the postal service's dispatch queue.
Inferred Destination: According to China Post's operating procedures, packages "Returned by Security Check" usually do not continue to wait or be released. Instead, they are handled by the Guangzhou International Exchange Bureau, returned to the original postal branch (Jiangmen City), and ultimately returned to the sender.
Regarding "No Updates for 6 Days": The lack of updates since March 20th is normal. Returned parcels are typically processed with lower priority than normal export mail and require physical return to the original post office and re-entry into the warehouse. This internal process usually takes 1-2 weeks or even longer.
2. Reason Analysis: Why was it "released" and then "returned"?
You may be wondering why it showed "released" on the 19th but was returned on the 20th. This is usually because:
Security Inspection Classification: Customs "release" means that regulatory conditions (such as whether there is tax evasion or prohibited items) have been met; while "security inspection return" means that transportation security conditions have not been met.
Specific Reasons: It may be due to the presence of prohibited items for air transport such as magnets, lithium batteries, liquids, or powders, or because the packaging does not meet aviation security standards (such as being too large or easily burstable), leading to interception by airport security before loading.
3. Next Steps Recommended: Since neither you nor the sender has received notification, we recommend that you take the following proactive measures:
Contact the sender (most effective):
Have them contact the originating post office: Please have the sender bring the mailing receipt to the original post office in Jiangmen City to inquire. According to regulations, parcels that cannot be exported due to security checks or customs reasons are usually returned to the sender. The sender should confirm whether the parcel has been returned to the branch office or inquire whether they need to pay additional shipping fees to change the shipping method (e.g., land/sea transport).
Recipient tracking methods:
Call 11183: Call the China Post customer service hotline 11183 (international business), provide tracking number EV070437946CN, and inquire about the specific reason for the "security check return" (customer service can usually find the note) and the current location of the physical parcel (in Guangzhou or returned to Jiangmen).
Try customs verification: If you suspect a customs supervision issue, you can call the 12360 customs hotline for consultation. However, based on the current note for "security check return," it is more likely to be related to logistics/security checks.
4. Regarding fees and delivery time: Fee liability: Generally, shipping fees are not refunded for returns due to "security check returns." If the sender needs to resend the package, they may need to pay the shipping fee again, or switch to a non-air transport method (such as sea freight).
Subsequent Delivery Time: From the time the package is marked as "returned" to the time the sender actually receives it, it is estimated to take approximately 10-20 days. Please be patient.
Summary: The package is almost certainly being returned to the sender in Jiangmen and will not be delivered to you. Please contact the sender as soon as possible so they can use the receipt to check the package's status at the original post office and discuss the next steps.
