Hi, I have posted a return with royalmail, tracking is RY273729484GB. the item is being assessed by the China customs authority for about 2 weeks now. how long are parcel usually held by customs? if there are problems, as duties to be paid, and the seller doesn't take any action, will the parcel be returned to UK? If the item is sent back to UK, am I supposed to pay VAT and duties to receive it back? thanks

Hi vincepa,

It should be waiting for the seller to declare to the customs now. You'd better contact the seller to ask if he has received the notice from the customs. If no, let him call China customs service number 12360 to check. If the seller doesn't take any action, it will be returned back to UK in most case.

Item status says "Held for export customs inspection" (6 replies)

I looked up my package on EMS tracking. When the page loaded, my package status was labeled "Held for export customs inspection". Is my package on it's way? Is there something blocking my package from arriving to me? Is there anything I can do?
